At the beginning of so many Sicilian stories is the family. 'A famigghia' cross and delight of a land that in the bonds of blood has found and finds many explanations for the lights and shadows that characterise the story. A trip to California; a father and son trip and the love for the sea and the desire to live an adventure together. In Santa Monica, intrigued by a little shop we had the 'teste di moro' printed on a short, almost as a joke. We were far away from Sicily and it seemed natural to put it on while walking along the Californian beaches. From that instinctive gesture came the idea of producing a line of shorts and swimming costumes with images that tell of the colours and places of Sicily. We came up with the brand name 'I Malandrini', trying to twist the meaning of a word
